The architecture of our solution
An overview of the structure
Centrepiece is the ev-pay HUB

The CPMS has no influence on pricing for ad hoc card charging (neither on the end customer price nor on any other fees).

The billing contract is with the operator and not with the CPMS provider.

This gives operators direct end customer loyalty and pricing sovereignty.

The ev-pay HUB stores all historical tariff information in a tamper-proof and traceable manner. This allows e-mobilists to see at any time which tariff applied to their charging process at what time.

Upon request from the payment terminal, the ev-pay HUB provides the currently valid tariff. The payment terminal is connected to the charging station exclusively via the cloud – an architecture that enables retrofitting in accordance with AFIR specifications from 1 January 2027.

The existing Charge Point Management System (CPMS) of the Charge Point Operator (CPO) can continue to be used, for example for billing charging cards. The ev-pay HUB monitors the entire ad hoc payment process, checks the correctness of the billing and ensures a reliable link between measured values and tariffs.

Via the Receipt Portal, e-mobilists can download the receipt for their charging process at any time and without complications – even retrospectively.
